Mr. B the Gentleman Rhymer with a catchy number
about keeping that aesthetic alive.
Chap Hop is the genre, and a lot of fun it can be!
The visuals here are compelling, supporting the
old saying that clothes do indeed make the man.
Or woman, for that matter.
Well done, Mr. B, well done…

Whizzo Chocolates
Also known as the Crunchy Frog sketch, and The Trade
Description Act.
An absolute classic by Monty Python, right up there
with their best pieces.
Depending on when it was performed and who did
what role this skit was modified to reflect the crowd
and the location.
This particular one was from their show at The Hollywood
Bowl back in 1982, a superb affair with all of the principal
members in fine form.
I almost didn’t post this one, it has French subtitles, though
not a distraction in any way, but the quality of the video is
quite good and it really makes Terry Jones, Graham Chapman,
and Terry Gilliam look awesome.
You’ll laugh, and you’ll learn French as well, gotta love it!
It is an inadequate description of the sweet meat…
That’s a Good Chap!

You Can’t Lie to Your Doctor
David Dyer with a very funny set on getting a physical.
He has great timing, excellent facial responses to his
jokes, and his material is pretty good.
A well rounded stand-up comedian that should go far.
I’ll be looking for his stuff online to play on the show.
He’s different, that is a good thing…
Uh-oh…

Comedy 101 Radio Playlist 8.8.19
No blocks this week, I wanted to but my
instincts said NO!
My instincts can be vicious at times.
As can my memory, as in viciously stupid.
I played the unexpurgated version of
Crunchy Frog…again!
Graham Chapman gets annoyed and tells
Terry Jones to have “relations” with his
sale quotas, after a spirited exchange with
the sole proprietor of the Whizzo Chocolate
Company.
Ivor Biggun with some superb imagery.
Some classic vacation humor, it’s that
time of year.
A funny piece by a woman I wish was still
performing, Diane Ford was a real snark queen
when she plied her craft, I was a huge fan.
Zoltan Kaszas likes to ride the Choo-Choo!

Just Can’t Seem to Get the Blues
The Reverend Billy C Wirtz with a song of non woe.
Is that even a thing?!
Well, it is to him apparently.
It’s Friday, makes sense, hard to get depressed when
it’s time to put your feet up and relax.
You can pitch a wang dang doodle on Monday.
Set your alarm…
My Diaper Done Left Me…

The Rebels Won
This piece spotlights the absurdity known as
the Star Wars series.
I understand its significance in the scheme of things
so I can’t outright savage the franchise, but I never
could embrace the terrible acting, huge plot holes,
and the !@#$%^& merchandising!
It may have been that last thing that killed it for me.
No, I do NOT want a Boba Fett coffee mug!
As I was saying, this is a smart piece, watch it then
go get a massage…
