A “Dreamy” Dilemma?

Emo Philips is a very underrated stand-up comedian.
I can only assume he comes from a long line of highly
intelligent mammals because his material is a lot
smarter than he’s given credit for.
Admittedly I am biased, I have talked with him on
more than one occasion and find him to be worthy of
all the accolades that I give him, and more.
His best jokes are world class, top notch stuff, up there
with the best of them.
This piece has some great lines in it, and a good sized
portion of coleslaw…

The Ding Dong Song

Williams and Ree have always fascinated me.
They started as a duo back in the 1960’s when they met
at a college in South Dakota.
Part country, part rock and roll, with on stage banter
that spotlights stereotypes of both the Indian nation
and the clueless white people that don’t quite understand
them…it’s actually quite funny, though not quite what
you would call politically correct.
And I guess that’s what draws me to them, they toss
stereotypes back and forth at each other during the
entire shown really hammering home the sordid past
of the “white man” and the woeful condition of the
Native American nation, but they make it funny and on
many levels it really works.
I’ve interacted with them and they seem really nice and
more than willing to discuss their careers.
A very interesting couple of guys, decent musicians with a
lust for life, the desire to entertain, and a great sense of humor.
Again, not PC, but this is comedy for grown-ups…

Bring His Memory Back

Agent K and agent J conspire with Jeebs (not an agent)
to get agent K’s mind back to normal.
And in THIS movie “normal” is very relative.
The outboard motor caught my attention, the bowling
ball pretty much locked it in for me.
And yes, things will taste very differently from this
point on…

Who Needs Salt?

The late, very great, John Pinette with a short but
very funny bit on KFC and its sodium chloride usage.
I stopped eating fast food many years ago but I do
remember licking my fingers after chomping on a
few drumsticks and thinking “I’ve gotten my yearly
requirement of salt tonight!”.
John was special, top twenty best stand-up comedian
ever in my humble opinion.
He does live on, deservedly so…
