A wonderful slice of the original BBC Television series The
Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams.
This first aired in the early 80’s, it was a six episode set
that was intelligent, humorous, and very interesting.
It used British actors, stiff upper lip and reserved humor are
the key to the success of this adaption of a radio play.
I have the original recordings of the radio series that aired in
Great Britain during the 1970’s, this is a worthy progression.
I highly recommend this series, if you can locate it snap it up,
you’ll thank me for it later.
Arthur Dent is the earthling trying to make sense of it all, in this
scene he’s given a tour of an intergalactic planet manufacturing
facility by one of it’s eccentric planet designers…

Brian Regan is still on top of his game after all these years.
Better than ever some say.
He’s got the snark, one of the first stand-up comedians to
master that shtick, and when he combines that with his
signature self deprecation he does quite well indeed.
This is a great bit…

The late, great Jerry Reed with a keeper.
Gotta love the lyrics, and the zeal with which
he belts it out, superb stuff!
He seems a bit frustrated…

A classic by the late, greats Hudson and Landry.
I love the premise, and the execution ain’t bad either.
Yeah, I hated Confession too…

This is a classic piece by Kyle Kinane.
I love to play it on the show, it’s dark, irreverent
and very funny, albeit a bit profane.
A couple of naughty words that might make
Grandma spit out her brand new teeth but
they’ll taste better when she pops ’em back in.
Unless they end up in the catbox.
Tell her they smell like that because you just
brushed ’em.
She’s old, she just might buy it…
