College Humor with a pretty accurate overview on
how silly the Marvel Universe has become!
I was a huge comic book collector when I was a
wee lad, more on the DC side of things but I did
see the strength of MCU.
Absolutely hated Stan Lee and what he did to the
genre, creating the most flawed superheroes for
no reason whatsoever other than to strum your
emotions like a cheap banjo.
I figured that out even way back then!
Case in point…Spiderman would save Gotham City
(pipe down, I’m rollin’ here!) from yet another
super baddy with large biceps and an even bigger
ego, he’d drag himself home all scraped up and
bleeding from the ears, only to cry himself to
sleep after finding out that his beloved fiance
got ticked off at him for missing her
graduation from Hair Dressing School and dated the
whole football team for revenge!
Oh, and that was AFTER he saw his uncle/father/
grandad/imaginary friend slain (right in front of him!)
by a just paroled (two hours earlier!) convicted murderer/
bank robber/puppy kicker with a prosthetic arm and a
tee-shirt that read “I HEART Baby Seal Beaters!”
Did I mention that “Spidey” also had really bad acne,
terrible foot odor and a car that hardly ever started?
