Martin Mull with a ode to those that cave.
You know what I’m talking about.
When you’re young your mind is clear, you know
what you want, and need, to do.
Alas, growing older adds a little fuzz, and a
demand for compliance.
As the responsibilities add up you’re forced to leave
the idealism behind, you sell out because the struggle
is no longer worth it.
It’s somewhat of a Miltonian equation…do you prefer
to rule in Hell or serve in Heaven?
It’s all rhetorical really.
We ALL cave, eventually…
