I got playful, the only really corny stuff I played was
a classic Freberg parody, the rest was more of a
snarky, irreverent stab at the overtly commercialized
aspect of the season.
It is getting pretty bad, worse than ever actually.
It helps to make fun of it, ridicule can be healthy.
As with all of my holiday shows I don’t have enough
topical stand-up material to keep with the usual rotation of
the three essential comedic food groups, musical, sketch
and s-up, so that was a bit thin this week.
Dan Hicks was in very fine voice, leading the Christmas Jug
Band in style.
The Kings of Carnage with a seasonal assault on the senses.
The Fools asked Santa for more wine.
Frank Jones is one funny piece, Fly Amero with a classic.
Superb parody from Red Peters.
Slidawg, Rappy, The Cryptkeeper and Antsy round it all out.
