I haven’t lamented about the state of good sketch
comedy in quite a while, I’m overdue.
My dilemma is this, I play really good skit humor
on the show but even though I have a decent amount
of it most of it is by a small group of artists.
There’s probably a dozen great sources, then it drops
off quite a bit after that, maybe another ten or twelve
that do a decent job.
If you actually listen to the show it does seem somewhat
fresh and not at all repetitive but if you look at the playlists
some of the same names keep popping up.
I have to face the facts, nothing is being made for radio
anymore, it’s a dying medium.
We no longer huddle around one like my grandparents did.
I understand, I really do.
Society moves forward, radio will not, I get it.
I don’t have to like it.
A law enforcement block, kinda.
Classic Carlin, a genius piece actually.
