I grew up with Bugs Bunny and I declare it to be the
top of the comedic cartoon heap.
The group of supremely talented folk who produced
this material never meant for it to be a children’s
animation, it was made in their spare time as an adult
diversion, for their eyes only really.
Termite Terrace was the building, Warner Brothers was
the studio, Tex Avery, Robert Clampett, Chuck Jones
and a few others were the artists.
This superb slice of Bugs Bunny getting his just revenge
is a hilarious example of the material they produced.
The word play and execution is wonderful, add to that
Mel Blanc, the old master himself, as the voice of Bugs
and you have some serious funny happening here.
A cross dressing rabbit, a couple of old school country
hicks, and a hoedown!
I laughed out loud…
