I was really tired, not sure if I was going to make it the whole show.
It felt at times that I would nod off between sets.
A feeling that I absolutely dread, having done just that once before.
That happened a couple of years ago.
The one and only time I fell asleep during a show.
Mine is the last one of the day, usually done by eleven pm.
Woke up at one in the morning…Dead Air…Oh Nooooo!
Opened one eye, noticed the on-air board with no movement on the
levels meter, for a brief moment I thought it was just a quick nod off.
Nope.
Fast forward to the present day.
Played some Summer stuff, have to keep that going a bit longer.
A few blocks of interest…coffee, beer, Pete, and sports.
Bobby Bare is a treasure, a wonderful singing voice in his prime.
He is still with us, the only one left from the Old Dogs, unfortunately.
Red Green is always a treat to play, down to Earth and wise to a fault.
Robbie Benoit lives on, and that is as it should be.
One of my favorite comedians as of late is Greg Warren.
Da Yoopers make a showing with a classic.
I played a Certified Guitar Player on the show!
Dean Obeidallah is a breath of fresh air.
Chandler Travis is a hoot.
Alonzo Bodden is a great stand-up comedian.
Does your coffee have Chick Corea in it?!
