Comedy 101 Radio 1.13.22

Better late than never.
Not a block in sight.
I forced myself to avoid any semblance of packing.
Went with my mood from earlier in the week mostly.
It has been COLD around here lately, sub zero is not
something that you observe with a relaxed attitude.
With a windchill of 20 to 30 below zero you change
your habits, and your thinking.
I don’t mean to ramble, but if you DO go out, dress warm.
A song done by many people over the years gets the
opening slot, an able singer, times ten, in his own right.
A Vacant Lot piece that reflects a time when MTV
actually played music videos from popular artists.
The music almost never matched the visuals.
Is that still a thing?
A classic piece by the late, great Richard Jeni.
He was a superb stand-up comedian, top ten all time.
Just for the heck of it I may post my faves for all to see.
Landry and Biener with a dying art, sketch comedy
made for an audio only format.
Radio is slowly fading and so is some of the artistic output.
Makes sense but it is a sad thing to note.
Hank Thompson doing a song created in the late 1800’s by
Percy French, the Irish songwriter, entertainer and painter.
The Firesign Theatre with a simple, for them, classic.
Bowser and Blue dropping names like a prison pigeon.
I played an unedited version of a John Wing bit…me bad.
New Hampshire’s own Juston McKinney with some fatherly
observations, and advice.
Michael Loftus thinks the freeway makes you mean, I can
attest to that, I cut my teeth on rush hour Boston driving.
I will kill your entire family if you cut me off.
Arlo Guthrie with one of many variations of the Motorcycle
Song, this one has a nice personal touch to it.
Lewis gets the top spot.
