C.W. McCall had a few minor hits back in the 1970’s during
the CB Radio phase, he put out a couple of decent novelty
tunes that received a bit of airplay.
This is a piece he performed about a rather infamous
figure who made the news back in 1874 for chewing on a
few of his companions that had hired him as a guide to
take them through the Colorado mountains during a very
harsh Winter.
Al was the only survivor of a failed mining mission, he ate
the prospectors who had hired him as a guide when they
had run out of food.
C.W. takes a whole lot of liberties with the actual facts of the
story but he has fun with it…
