I interviewed Heywood back in the early oughts and he was a
hoot and a half.
He started off as a folk singer of sorts, discovering that he got
a lot of laughs with his between song banter made him change
his approach to the craft, he became a comedian.
And a damned good one.
His lyrics are humorous, as is his stage presence, the combo is
what sets him apart from his peers.
I know of no other artist that has written and performed a song
about his mom’s over the shoulder boulder holder…
