The Decline of the American Bald Eagle

Tom Lehrer just passed away, and I’m having a hard
time posting this.
There has never been anyone quite like him, he was
one of a kind.
A supremely talented songwriter, his lyrics are top shelf,
his performances even better.
Musician, mathematician, professor, and one of the most
irreverent comedians to ever grace a stage!
Not a flaw in his game, everything he did was superb, and
very much ahead of its time.
He will be SORELY missed by all who appreciate humor
and satire.
I will be playing him a lot on the show in the next few weeks.
Starting off with this irreverent gem, just him and his piano.
The fully orchestrated version will come later.
R.I.P. Mr. Lehrer, you WILL be missed…

Ahmed Ahmed was on the first wave of a wonderful addition
to the stand-up world of comedy.
Back in the early millennium the Axis of Evil Comedy Tour
started with the hope that through humor one could help
repair the relations between Muslims and non Muslims.
It worked like a charm, at least for those who actually saw
the performances.
Ahmed Ahmed was one of the comedians that impressed me.
He’s smart, well educated, and pretty damned funny.
Some good lines here, all the while teaching us things we
need to know…

Hale and Pace with a hilariously dark sketch about
getting ones protein.
Any way you can, apparently…

Heywood Banks can produce some strangely wonderful
pieces from time to time, this is one of those.
I love the song personally, but it does not appeal to the
folks who tune into the show, nobody ever requests it.
It has to be because of the subject matter, it has some
great aspects to it, gotta be flashbacks from the early
teen years that sours the deal…

Brian Regan off of his first recording, Brian Regan “Live”.
Classic stuff, still one of the better stand-up comedians
on the circuit…
