I heard angels!

Day three of the Late, great John Pinette tribute.
This is a classic piece from him, I’ve seen him do it live.
Some good lines in this one, and one stumble. 🙂
John…likes…Dairy Queen!

More to come.

We’re going camping…!

John Pinette week going strong, must play the best that I
can find as a fitting tribute to the late, great funny man.
I posted this one a while back and I’m doing it again
because it is a superb piece of stand-up, as good as it gets.
Some great lines here…

VERY funny material!

I don’t do UPS!

I am sad beyond words.
John Pinette, stand-up comedian extraordinaire, passed away
over the weekend, his death was attributed to natural causes.
He had ongoing health problems, most of which concerned his
weight and related issues.
I was fortunate enough to see him live on more than one
occasion and came away from his gigs smiling broadly.
When he first came into the limelight I thought to myself
“great, a heavy comic who is using his massive weight as the
center of his act…he won’t last!”
I actually tried to ignore his talents and pass him off as
a one trick pony.
I was wrong.
He was very funny, knew what he had, and made the most of it.
I’ll be posting some of his work this week and I will give
him a well deserved tribute on the show.
Goodbye John, you made the world a better place and we
thank you for it!

RIP Big Guy, you will be missed.

Does your dog bite?

I was looking around for a funny movie clip that I could
post for today’s mirth infusion when I happened to remember
this little gem.
Peter Sellers as Inspector Clouseau, checking into an
inn under an assumed name.
Some day I will get into the genius of Mr. Sellers, there
was nobody quite like him, but today it is the memorable
one liner that I am after.
And you WILL repeat that line at least once in the days ahead!

More to come…

Sad, sad Moe…

The Simpsons are the longest running comedy show on television.
They are the top of the heap for a very good reason, the voice
talent and the writing is superb.
Here’s a great example of both…

Good stuff!

You might know his older brother, Steve

Piff the Magic Dragon, otherwise known as John van der Put,
is a comedian and magician from the United Kingdom.
He started off his career in IT before becoming one of the
biggest comedic draws on that side of the pond.
He currently performs and lives in Las Vegas with his
assistant Mr. Piffles, his pet chihuahua.
His act is laid back, dry and very funny.
a taste, if you will…

More to come.
