Not the 9:00 News was a superb comedy sketch troupe in the
vein of Monty Python, The Frantics and The Royal Canadian
Air Farce…their peak years were the late 70s and early 80s.
Members were Pamela Stephenson, Mel Smith, Griff Rhys Jones
and some other guy you might be familiar with, Mr. Bean!

One of the great things that The Three Stooges were known
for was their stupendous food fights.
This one is a classic, Stooges Vs. the Hoi Polloi.

This is the ONLY short with all four primary Stooges in it.
The episode is called “Hold that Lion” and it was filmed after Curly had a debilitating stroke that essentially ended his career.
He got back with them to do this ONE last cameo.
Just wonderful…

I damned near had to change the Underoos after watching this!
With the possible exception of some choice Marx Brothers there
is nothing out there over 70 years old that is this freakin’
funny!
Okay, maybe watching your grandfather chew on the fake
fried egg that you bought at Jack’s Joke Shop, but that’s IT!
The timing, facial expressions and body language is superb!
Dutiful but Dumb!…

That’s right that’s a capital C!

Kathleen Madigan is as good as it gets in the world of stand-up.
She certainly has it all, my favorite on the circuit right now.
