Comedy 101 Radio Playlist 6.29.17

A 4th of July show filled with the usual humorous
icons, and some strange stuff also!
Stan Freberg was an amazing man, I’m always happy
to play his material, some absolute classic mirth
here…Paul Frees, June Foray, Daws Butler and
Stan himself!
June is still with us, she’s 99 years old!
A great show, all in all…

Have a Safe and Sane Time Everyone!

The Sanity Claus

This piece by Groucho and Chico Marx is absolutely
hilarious by any standard, and when you consider that
it’s over eighty years old…Wow!
From the 1935 movie Night at the Opera,
an exchange like no other.
Chico plays the clever dunce quite well, and Groucho
is on top of his game with puns and sarcasm galore.
I have a great appreciation for this material…

James Christ

Michael Jr. is a very funny stand-up comedian!
I love this guy’s performances, he really has it all.
He’s a Christian comic, but it’s not what you think.
You won’t detect any preaching in his act, but you won’t
hear any profanity either.
His subject matter and his delivery are excellent.
With subtle gestures he can make you laugh, as I did a
couple of times during this piece.
This is one of the rare times when I find more of an artist on
YouTube than I do as an audio to play on the show, he has quite
a presence on the net but I cannot purchase his recordings to
give him any air time, with just a few exceptions, maybe four
minutes worth, that’s it.
This is a great slice of what he can do…

A great little parody of an overplayed 70s radio pop
song as done by The Barron Knights!
I can’t even imagine flying while sick to my stomach.
I’ve done it and it ain’t pleasant!
Greasy eggs don’t help…
