Comedy 101 Radio Playlist 2.22.18

Lots of interesting things this week.
Some old friends called in to request things.
Some new material and some odd classics to
round things out a bit.
Good to hear from Gilda Radner, the same for
Synaptic Anarchy Playhouse.
Shane Mauss was on his game.

Next Week…March!

Rubber Room

The Dyzmals with an ode to all our insane friends
wherever they may be!
There’s a little insanity in all of us, thankfully
most of mine is only in me noggin.
I keep a bunch in my glove compartment, just in case…

Mr. Veedle

An absolute classic by the very talented Lily Tomlin!
This is a great piece that I love to play on the show.
It is only slightly dated, as Ma Bell is no longer
the main phone carrier anymore, but the more things
change the more they stay the same.
She’s a goddess, bow to her stupendous talents.
Or at least laugh, that’s the least you can do…

William Collectors

Oh sorry, we’re on a first name basis now.
That would be Bill Collectors, as wonderfully told
by the very underrated stand-up comedian, Anthony Griffith!
This guy is FUNNY, a very unique approach to the craft, his
observation humor is as good as it gets.
Laid back but very good at what he does, I highly recommend him…

Peter the Meter Reader

The late, great Meri Wilson was a singer of catchy
little ditties of the double entendre kind!
Simple and yet quite well done, infectious songs
that bring a smile to your face.
This is the second hit she had with that approach.
I play it on the show when the mood strikes…
