I really like this piece, it bolsters what I have said
many times about serious artists…they can and often
do put out some great humorous material.
A little here, a little there, when the mirth muse hits
them we all benefit.
This reads like a poem, smooth as silk…

Tommy has really focused and improved his game.
I love to play him on the show, humorous insights
and observations galore, a real pleasure.

That happened a lot back in the sixties and seventies, Shel pens
it and someone else makes a killing off it.
Shel didn’t mind, the folks who made progress with it were all
top notch talents in their own right.
Johnny Cash, Bobby Bare, Doctor Hook and more, the list is vast.
Bobby does an excellent job with this one, his singing voice is
just perfect for this song.

It does get interesting, especially after Godzilla
gets involved…
Nick Griffin with a sharp look at being lucky!
He reveals a lot in his stand-up comedy, the
human condition and all its complexities.
He certainly resonates well here…
