A classic by any other name is still a something something.
Those boys were way ahead of their time, their efforts would
work even today…snark galore, irreverence, and a very keen
survival instinct that helped keep them out of trouble.
Somewhat.

This superb bit is from the classic 1983 Monty Python
flick The Meaning of Life!
It was the last movie with Graham Chapman in it,
passing away six years later.
I mention this because he was known as being the darkest
member of the troupe and I cannot help but think that he
must have had a huge hand in molding this effort.
This one has some very dark moments in it, I was actually
a bit shocked when I saw it as it first came out.
The Organ Donor sketch, Mr. Creosote, and a plethora
of other infamous scenes make this very much a cult movie.
One of the most poignant is the Galaxy Song, performed by
Eric Idle, with John Cleese and Terry Jones as co-stars.
It broke from previous scripts in that instead of being
about one premise it was structured more like their
BBC Television show, a series of comedy skits pieced
together to tell the story of life itself.
I highly recommend it if for no other reason than to
see Eric Idle sing the Galaxy ditty to Terry Jones while
the latter is dressed as middle aged British housewife!
This scene starts the ball rolling, it has Cleese and Chapman
as doctors and Michael Palin as a hospital administrator
who really appreciates the fact that they have a very
expensive machine that goes “Ping!”.
Gotta love it…

neat little tune about getting hitched to a higher being!
I really like these folks, Antsy is as good as it gets.
