Street Cred

MC Mr. Napkins, aka Zack Sherwin, with a cool
little number about having what it takes to
survive on the street.
We’re not talking Main Street, Compton…more
like Sesame Street, Bowling Green.
It’s a great piece, I don’t care where he lives!
Nice word play…

Spycatching, Blackadder Goes Forth

This slice of the superb BBC Television series that aired
back in 1989 really shows the talent of all involved.
I am well aware of Rowan Atkinson’s abilities, they are
vast and quite impressive, but one man alone cannot
keep an entire series afloat.
His co-stars in this legendary program were some of
the best in the business…Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry,
Tony Robinson, and Tim McInnerny are as good
as it gets, and when you put them all together and you
get a sitcom that some consider to be the best ever.
It certainly beats anything made for television on this
side of the ocean.
I love British humor, when it’s on there is nothing better.
Rowan is a real howl here…

Forever Young

Jeff Caldwell’s I’m no Epidemiologist recording from 2007
is a really funny example of what he can do.
He’s laid back, very smart, and has great stage presence.
One of the better stand-up comedians making the rounds.
I highly recommend him, he gets played on the show to
great reviews, here’s why…

Killed By a Coconut

This is a great combo!
The late greats, Bob Gibson and Shel Silverstein,
singing a ditty that Shel wrote a few years earlier.
This is off of a killer recording called Bob Gibson
Sings Shel Silverstein, released in 1995.
Some real gems on this, several tracks are worthy
of extensive airplay.
Bob was a very well known folk singer in his day,
revered and respected by all who knew him.
Shel was a really talented man… cartoonist, poet,
musician, singer, children’s book author, and all
around entertainer with a voice like no other.
This is a collector’s item, I highly recommend
both the recording and the artists themselves…

Why Don’t You Take a Picture?!

This awesome scene is from Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure,
Paul Reuben’s wonderfully goofy flick from 1985!
Pee-Wee is such a great character, there’s never
been anything quite like him, before or since.
You never knew what he would do or say next,
but you know it would be entertaining, and smart.
He was no dummy, and that is part of the allure,
clever and able was his claim to fame.
Not to mention, fantastically adaptable, as this
clip proves beyond a shadow of a doubt.
He’s on the lam with a bad guy…road block…
just happened to have these disguises in the
glove box…gullible cop…WHEW, that was close!
I freakin’ love this stuff…
