Uncle Buford
I posted this a few months ago and I feel compelled
to do so again.
I went with a Country Western/Hillbilly/Southern
stereotype show this week, I figure if Ken Burns
can spotlight it so can I.
There is lots of material at hand to do just that.
Da Vinci’s Notebook with a belly scratcher…
Not Too Stereotypical!
An Accidental Arrest
Rik Roberts with an interesting piece about driving
through Kansas while stupid.
He’s a talented artist, I play a few of his songs on
the show, played one just last night as a matter of fact.
His Don Knotts imitation is uncanny…
No Mountains?!
Still Gonna Die
Staying with a loose country music posting this week.
This super group got together for a tour and a recording
back in the 90’s when all were alive and kickin’.
Waylon Jennings, Mel Tillis, Bobby Bare, and Jerry Reed
named themselves The Old Dogs.
All four of these artists are legends in the C&W market.
Jerry is a Certified Guitar Player, Waylon is an outlaw,
Bobby Bare is a Winner, and Mel stammers towards greatness.
Sadly, Jerry and Waylon are no longer with us, may they
rest in piece.
Doing a Shel Silverstein classic…
There Goes Fred…
Reverse Villains
We all need an adversary.
It motivates us, gives us focus.
Especially if you’re the reverse Wonder Woman.
“There it is, easy to find…”
127 People Died, Saved a Kitten Though
The NFL Morals Clause
I like Alonzo Bodden, he’s a great stand-up comedian
that I love to play on the show.
He’s smart, has a good delivery, and he knows his audience.
He is also quite aware.
The NFL, and sports in general, are prime targets here.
Specifically the hypocrisy, always a decent topic to flesh out.
A few zingers, gotta love it…
