The Emperor’s Phone Call

This is hilarious!
Palpatine, as all high level managers must do, fields
the phones while trying to keep a semi-important
meeting going, the results are the stuff of history.
Bonus points for bashing the cranky pepper shaker.
One of the better parodies of that ridiculously over
hyped franchise.
If your name is Luke and you’ve been traumatized
by your father standing over you in bed while
uttering a much abused, and horribly misquoted,
piece of film history please drop me an email, we
have much to talk about…

Crap Monster

I have always considered Gallagher to be one of
the best comedians of all time.
The passing years have not changed that viewpoint.
He’s witty, clever, insightful, and has excellent timing.
I admit to being biased, he gave me a great interview
and didn’t hold back on anything that I could detect.
He still had it when I saw him perform a few years ago.
This is a great piece, nice flow with lots of stage
confidence, some superb low level snark here as well.
A profane utterance towards the middle that may
cause blushing in self centered wussies with no lives…

Street Meat

Mike Phirman is a talented performer.
His market as of late is mostly for children
and young adults but he busts loose at times
with some great stuff for the elder crowd.
This is off the wonderfully named “The Very
Last Songs I Will Ever Record Part #1″
recording, a compilation I love to spotlight
on the show.
If you’ve ever been to New York City you
have surely seen the street vendors that
Mike is referring to, they are everywhere.
They taunt him so…

Strong Bad…Email

Homestar Runner was one of the first web based
Flash animations on the internet.
Back when Flash was a thing.
One of the characters in the series was modeled
after a Tag Team Wrestling video game icon.
Strong Bad is aptly named, he is too manly for
his own good and lacks a certain finesse found
in more civilized cartoon foes.
I’m not sure how he types with those boxing
gloves on but he gets an “A” for effort.
Shouldn’t that be an “E” for effort?
The English language vexes me so.
He should NOT be in Customer Service…

We Bought a Hedgehog

Tommy Ryman purchased a spiky hamster and he
couldn’t be happier.
Beats a honey badger I suppose.
Rumor has it he backs up Tommy’s clarinet playing
with some nice vocals and the occasional beat boxing.
I made that up, just wanted to give you a strange visual.
He doesn’t sing at all, strictly keyboards for this mammalia.
Tommy is odd, that’s part of his charm, a large part.
It works for him, very well actually.
One of the better stand-up comedians on the circuit…
