A History Lesson

This wonderful scene is from the 1986 Rodney Dangerfield
flick “Back to School”.
It starred Rodney as a student and the late great stand-up
comedian Sam Kinison as his crazed history teacher.
Sam was quite a phenomenon, known for his bombastic
in your face style of comedy he shuffled off this mortal
coil far too soon.
A couple of choice naughty words that would draw a stern
rebuke from puritans, Pope Steven VI, that crazed penguin in
the Blues Brother’s movie, and your mom.
Considering they’re all dead but your mom, and she ain’t
looking too good, I’d give it a try.
A classic scene by any other name…

Healthy Food

Brian Regan, off of his Live from Radio City Music Hall recording
with some nutrition advice and tips for the masses.
One of the first stand-up comedians to master the snark, Brian
has done quite well for himself over the years.
One of the best ever, he still tours and, dare I say, it looks like he’s
producing some really good material at this stage in his career.
Banana juice anyone?

Water and Commies

A surreal scene from a classic film of epic proportions.
Stanly Kubrick was the director, one of the best in the business.
The cast was some of the best off the “A” Shelf.
Peter Sellers played “Captain Mandrake” and Sterling Hayden
was “General Jack D. Ripper”.
The former was focused, highly intelligent, and willing to do
whatever it took to do what was needed.
The latter was absolutely insane.
This scene is both chilling and incredibly funny at the same time.
Both were excellent actors, some of the best ever.
This scene is iconic, well acted and superbly written.
Highly unlikely?…yes, it is.
A distinct possibility?…Yep!
Therein lies the rub…
