Timmy and the Dragon
I found a nifty little episode of Shaun the Sheep that has
the opening song sung in a foreign language.
At first I thought it was an episode made to be shown in
a foreign country that had the rights to the series, but it
seems to be a curve ball of sorts, no reason that I can see.
No matter, the entire series has no dialogue whatsoever,
it matters not what language it is opened with.
And therein lies the absolute beauty of it all, every laugh,
all the chuckles, are generated by what you see.
I cannot say enough about Aardman Animations, they and
Nick Parks created these endearing characters, and I
highly recommend the whole shebang.
These are also the folks who do Wallace and Gromit, yet
another superb animation that deserves much credit.
Gotta love these characters, I know I do…
Shaun?, Somebody Get Shaun…
Mom & Dad, Out in Left Field
Andy Hendrickson is a pretty solid stand-up comedian.
I love to play him on the show…he’s smart, articulate,
not at all full of himself, and really funny.
I can relate to almost everything he talks about.
This is a great bit, lots of good lines here…
Forget Running!
Wildwood Weed
A Jim Stafford classic!
From the early 70’s, back when you could face some
severe jail time for having even small amounts.
Fast forward a bit…certain strains for particular
maladies are the norm.
Ain’t life grand?
Upwards and onward, I often say…
Trade Your Gun for a Fishing Pole!
The Emperor’s Phone Call
This is hilarious.
Vader calls the old guy about a minor fender bender
and hilarity ensues.
Turns out the entire Death Star is a total loss and
Darth is confined to his room until he coughs up
the loan on another one.
Gotta love the inside jokes, some of the best writing
on television.
I know, I know, that’s like saying the best mud in the
pig pen but SOME credit is due here.
Great parody this…
Someone Needs a Throat Hug!
What Men Hate About Women
A classic piece of stand-up by Christopher Titus.
Some keen insights here, tongue in cheek of course.
Adult themes, suck it up cowboys, it’s the weekend.
He’s a very sharp, intense comedian, one of the better ones.
Had his own television show back in the 90’s, did well.
Put your “guy cards” on the table boys…
