An absolutely stupendous scene from a superb movie.
Not just a superb movie either, one of the very best
flicks ever created, by Stanley Kubrick no less!
This scene alone is worth the price of admission.
Two of the greatest actors of all time with satire so
sharp it will give you paper cuts.
In short, Sterling Hayden, as General Jack Ripper,
goes crazy and takes it upon himself to send an
atomic bomb squadron to Russia.
Peter Sellers, as Captain Lionel Mandrake, tries to
stop him.
It does not go well.
This scene shows Ripper in the thralls of a complete
mental breakdown, with a crestfallen Sellers slowly
realizing that he is in a REALLY awful situation that
is about to get much worse!
Wonderful stuff, satire of a very high nature, as good
as it could possible get.

A really funny bit by Tommy Ryman.
Some great lines here, he has his shtick down pat.
Good timing and a knack for story telling helps.
He’s pretty sure that’s what took out Europe…
