Stan Freberg was an absolute master of parody and satire,
sometimes both at the same time.
Not to mention a superb voice actor.
There’s a kernel of truth in this one.
From what I can remember, Ben Franklin wanted the
turkey to be the actual American bird that all should
revere, not the bald eagle.
This piece plays with that a bit, Charlie made a Boo-Boo…

Da Turkey Song

Bananas at Large with a holiday tune of fowl intent.
I’m a veg head now, but when I ate turkey I loved a
sandwich with mayo, toasted wheat bread, and
numerous slabs of white turkey breast in the middle.
These gobblers would probably have a problem with that.
Can’t say I blame them…
