The Elements

A Tom Lehrer classic!
The late, GREAT Tom Lehrer with a wonderful look
at most of the substances that the universe provides us with.
I would have stated “ALL”, and it was back THEN when he created
this piece, but more elements have been discovered since then.
There is nobody quite like Tom, he will be missed…

Let Fear Rule

Kyle Kinane is one of the best stand-up comedians on the circuit.
He’s a different type of comic, hard to classify, but very funny.
His observational humor is unlike anything I’ve seen before.
I would love to see him live on stage.
He seems like a huge Tostito fan.
Some great lines here…

The Hostage

Kurt Weitzmann has reaffirmed my faith in the modern comedy sketch.
It’s been a dying commodity since the decline of radio, very little comedy
being released that deals with just the audio side of the equation.
We live in a video world now, not sure I like that.
A great piece, very happy to play this on the show…

Poisoning Pigeons in the Park

Tom Lehrer just passed away, and I’m having a hard
time posting this.
There has never been anyone quite like him, he was
one of a kind.
A supremely talented songwriter, his lyrics are top shelf,
his performances even better.
Musician, mathematician, professor, and one of the most
irreverent comedians to ever grace a stage!
Not a flaw in his game, everything he did was superb, and
very much ahead of its time.
He will be SORELY missed by all who appreciate humor
and satire.
I will be playing him a lot on the show in the next few weeks.
Starting off with this irreverent gem, just him and his piano.
The fully orchestrated version will come later.
R.I.P. Mr. Lehrer, you WILL be missed…
