New Age Mom

Tommy Ryman is a pretty funny guy, not your typical stand-up
comedian by any means.
His delivery, material and stage presence set him apart, I’d
call him a nerd but that isn’t quite accurate.
I play him on the show to great reviews.
Check this out…

Coffee

This is an enjoyable narration by the legendary Ken Nordine.
His voice alone demands your attention, the lyrics are always
top notch and when you combine the two, you get material
like this…

Humor Test

There are those that look fondly at the 70s for the vast
amount of superb comedy that came from that decade.
At the very least it was the era that spawned a lot of the
humor that we know today…National Lampoon and Saturday
Night Live just to name a few. The first one actually led
to the other, a topic that I’ll hit sometime in the near
future, and this piece is a prime example of that.
Back when Chevy was part of National Lampoon he did this
clever little piece…

The Other Educated Monkey

This is a superb song/oration/word play from Ivor Biggun
that has so much imagination in it I am beside myself!
There are many things to love about British comedy but
being witty is the BIG one in my estimation.
American comedy not so much, and that’s a pity.
This is as witty as it gets, A great piece of humor…

Davie the Talkative Cat

This is a very funny oration by, of all people, a gentleman
that makes a living as a John Lennon impersonator!
Tim Biancalana looks and sounds just like the late, great
member of the Fab Four and does quite well doing just that.
He also is a very humorous fellow with a strange sense of humor.
I play this cut on the show and it’s a howler…

An Olympic Moment

Finding a decent video on the net from The Royal Canadian
Air Farce is difficult, they were more of an audio only
type of comedy sketch group, they were a CBC Radio based
entity for many years after all, so that makes sense.
I make a big deal over it because these folks are as good as
it gets, in the same company as Monty Python, The Frantics,
The Dead Alewives and others…it is my belief that the only
group that was better was John Cleese and the gang, that’s how
much I think of these talented people.
I’m always searching for their classic material and I’m sure
it will be here someday, even if it’s just a fan tribute I’ll
post the heck out of it. Until then please enjoy this great
little skit made during the 1994 Olympics by the late GREATS
John Morgan and Roger Abbott, they passed away not that long ago
but their genius lives on, as does the RCAF, albeit in a
diminished capacity…
