Comedy 101 Radio Playlist 6.27.19

Just when I think that nobody cares about the older,
not so cool anymore, comedians I get some requests
for them.
This week someone asked for Don Novello, aka Father
Guido Sarduci, and another requested Nichols and May.
Classic material no matter how you look at it!
Got a baby block in.
A fun show, lots of this and that.
Kathleen Madigan kills as always,
As does Shane Mauss.
The Wayfarers with a painful reminder of where, when, and
how to take care of business.
Stewart Francis is becoming an expert swimmer.
Davie the Talkative Cat is concerned about the common markets.
Heywood Banks with a surprisingly gross song about toenails.
And a wonderfully insightful oration from Arlo Guthrie to get
you to think about Summer!
I don’t want a pickle…

Cosmology, Your Futon and You

The Amoeba People with a very catchy tune about
the universe, the place where you sleep, and that
person who’s reflection you see in the bathroom
mirror every morning when you’re brushing
your teeth.
These guys are the world’s best nerds, a passion
for science and the desire to share their intellects
with us are some superb selling points.
I love this stuff, you will too…

Double Trouble

This is a nifty little scene in Army of Darkness,
a Sam Raimi/Bruce Campbell movie from 1992.
A great hybrid, Horror/Comedy, flick for those
that can appreciate both genres.
It certainly has some iconic moments with more
than enough quotable lines in it to annoy almost
all of your friends and relatives.
It pays homage to The Three Stooges, old sci-fi movies,
George Romero and George Pal throughout.
He’s the guy with the gun…

Family

A very humorous piece from John Pinette, off of
his “I’m Starvin!” recording, a 2007 release.
Some great lines here, john’s in top form and he
sounds quite healthy, lots of pep in his voice.
Hilarious visuals towards the end, he really knew
how to tell a story…

Hello, I Must Be Going

A wonderful slice of comedic history from the
Marx Brother’s 1930 Animal Crackers flick!
Groucho and his long time partner in comedy
crime Margaret Dumont together again to
entertain and elate you.
She appeared in many of their films as the
well meaning patsy and fall guy (woman) and
she fit the role very well.
This is an iconic scene, so far ahead of its time…
