The Vacant Lot was a Canadian comedy troupe that had a CBC
television show back in the mid 90s.
The group consisted of four members, one of which was Nick
McKinney, brother of Mark McKinney, of Kids in the Hall fame.
The other three were Rob Gfroerer, Vito Viscomi and Paul
Greenberg.
They may have been around for only a short time but they
created some great comedy that I play on the show.
My favorite is “(This Song’s Gonna Make a) Great Video”
a superb imagery laden parody of bad MTV videos.
