The late, great George Carlin was the absolute top of
the heap in the stand up comedy world, when he was “on”
there was nobody better.
In the 70s he helped bring on a landmark Supreme Court
ruling that basically affirmed that the US government can
regulate material that is indecent, on the public airwaves.
This was known as the Seven Dirty Words case.
He went through several changes over the years, always
adapting to the world around him.
To my surprise, and delight, the latter part of his career
saw some great output from George, there are those that
say it was some of his best work ever.
This piece is absolutely superb, there is nothing like it
from any other comedian on the planet, the best of the best.
It is also the most requested Carlin piece, by far, on
Comedy 101 Radio, it is outstanding in EVERY way.
