I did something on this show that I’ve never done before.
George Carlin, unlike a lot of other stand-up comedians,
liked to refine a joke over time, improving upon it until
it became what he wanted it to be.
A great example would be his superb Baseball/Football piece.
He did one earlier in his career, refined it while touring and
released it again on another recording years later.
I played the early version at the beginning of the show and the
improved (in MHO) towards the end.
The difference is stark, the early version is good but the
later one is much better.
It’s always good to hear from Diane Ford, she is terrific.
Bob and Ray with a real howler.
Is there a better stand-up comedian out there than
Daniel Tosh?
Doubtful.
