Tom Lehrer is an institution, one of the most
learned, humorous, and fascinating people
on the planet.
The bulk of his work was done back in the 1950’s
but it was so far ahead of its time it fits right
into today’s scheme of things.
His material is dark, irreverent, and wildly popular.
A child prodigy that enrolled at Harvard when he was
15 years old, he is also a superb pianist and much
beloved retired college professor.
I’m always glad to play his material on the show.
