This happy little ode to Alzheimers and firearms
was written by Hank Fort back in 1948.
Mrs. Hank Fort was born in 1914 as Eleanor Hankins.
She had written more than 400 songs over her several
decade career, some were covered by artists as
diverse as The Andrew Sisters and Petula Clark.
I play this version on the show, it has that “old time”
feel to it, old yet charming.
Some very telling lines here, makes you wonder if
she wasn’t singing this from experience…
