Poverty Doesn’t Buy Happiness

Daniel Tosh is one of the best stand-up comedians on
the circuit, has been for a while, and deservedly so.
His shtick is irreverence and snark, with an indisputable
intelligence that very few comics possess.
The irreverence part of the equation lets him do things that
other comedians cannot do, he sets such an artificially high
bar that you know whatever he says is over the top and
a parody first and foremost.
That’s the secret to his humor, it’s outrageous but you know
it is, and you laugh at it, because it is.
Even when he gets too close for comfort, as it were, he
brings you to the edge for a reason.
Here he is at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival early in his
career, almost twenty years ago, showing some material
that he later used for various recordings he’s since released.
Did that even make sense?
It’s funny, go for it…
