I’m not very big on watching television, having
stopped doing so over twenty years ago.
There was a time when I was glued to the set.
I’ve probably absorbed more facial radiation
than Bruce Banner ever did.
One would think that I’d be able lift really heavy
weights with my eyelids but alas that is not the case.
At least they’re not green.
When I did enjoy the occasional mindless diversion
that certain programs offered I would tune into the
British comedies…Monty Python, Benny Hill, Red Dwarf,
Hale and Pace, and this terrific series based on a Douglas
Adams’s book of the same name.
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is a true phenomenon.
Science fiction with a very intelligent sense of humor.
Imaginative, funny, with its heart in the right place, I
remember watching this with absolute glee.
Even today it’s a great watch, and I highly recommend it
to anyone with a love for great British comedy.
Much better than the movie, I enjoyed the flick but this
original series from 1981 is top notch in every way.
