Raw Oyster Soup

I try to play this masterpiece at least once a year.
Jerome Horowitz was the younger brother of Moses and
Samuel and by all accounts not a trained actor
or comedian at all.
A few years after the brother’s vaudevillian act had
taken off Samuel decided to leave the group to pursue
an acting career, left with a gap to fill the younger
Horowitz brother was chosen to replace him.
For a man with no formal training in the art of acting
or stage work, or a high school diploma for that matter,
Jerome would soon become one of the funniest men on the
planet, as this skit will attempt to prove.
The three comedians became world famous as The Three Stooges,
Louis Feinberg (Larry Fine), Moses (Moe Howard),
and younger brother, Jerome.
They produced a vast amount of comedic shorts that, to this
day, still get viewed by large numbers of people world wide,
almost seventy years after the last one was made.
The younger brother went on to be considered by many to be the
funniest of the lot, not too shabby considering he was a quick
fill-in for Shemp, the guy who decided to leave.
He still has admirers, more than sixty years after his death.
Here’s my salute to one of the funniest guys to ever live.
Curly Howard, in a true comedy classic…
