Bad Grocery Store Advice

Kellen Erskine is a superb stand-up comedian!
A Fresh Face at the Montreal Comedy Festival
he’s come a long way in a short time, and he
deserves all the accolades that he receives.
I hope to see him live in a club somewhere.
I’ve posted him before and I hope he puts out
some recorded material so that I can play
him on the show.
He’s dry, not a lot of bubbles with Kellen,
there is no need, he has the material and the
stage presence.
This is a great piece, some nice lines here…

Comedy 101 Radio Playlist 9.27.18

Some new material this week!
Smart stuff from The Reverend Billy C Wirtz,
Jeff Caldwell, and Dean Obeidallah.
I cannot say enough about the Axis of Evil
comedy tour that occurred a few years ago.
The stand-up comedians on that are superb!
The premise was, and is, those comedians are
either from the Middle East or are the
offspring of folks that were born and raised there.
Ahmed Ahmed is outstanding, as is Aron Kader.
This weeks offering spotlights Dean Obeidallah, one
of the original members of that tour.
He knows our culture as well as anyone and he excels
at showing you the similarities and differences
between them in a very humorous way.
Some classic lines from Rodney, that guy has a legacy
and a half for sure.
The Bus Driver sketch from The Whitest Kids U’ Know
always brings a smile to my face.
That Daniel Tosh piece at the end is divine!
His level of irreverence is nothing like I have EVER seen!
One of the best ever, nobody quite like him.

StupidJerk

The Great Bell

The late, great Marty Feldman with a neat
little ditty about working at a church!
Sorta.
There’s a clapper in there, and a vicar as well.
Kind of a love song actually.
Did not end well.
Certainly didn’t end quietly…

Fatal Beating

Rowan Atkinson and Angus Deayton with a
classic comedy sketch!
This has both audio and visual appeal, you can
play it on the radio or watch it on YouTube.
I make that distinction doe to the lack of
audio only skits, radio used to be king but
no longer, it’s hard to find radio sketches
to play that are new.
I’ll keep playing superb pieces like this until
someone bounces a large rock off the back of my head.
I really shouldn’t sit with my back to the window…

Doing Nothing

John Mulaney with a funny piece off of his New in Town recording!
He’s a steady stand-up comedian who is always humorous and
entertaining, one of the better ones.
He honed his craft writing for Saturday Night Live, raising the
bar to the point where they were almost funny, almost.
He talks some severe lack of impetus here…
