My Pool

HYULP with a light-hearted look at large bodies of water.
Kinda.
It’s bigger than yours.
And when you think about it, that’s what really counts.
We live in such a shallow world.
At least the pool’s deep…

Summer Bummer

A Bill Plympton original.
A pretty unique illustrator/cartoonist/animator
with a style all his own.
It’s hot outside, your imagination starts to run wild
while you look to cool off.
It certainly was a problem for this guy…

The Waterpark

John Pinette in flip flops and a Speedo doing a classic
bit for Summer.
He was issued a parachute.
Things did not go well.
A few expletives contained within.
I’m sure he uttered more than a few while he was there.
He did not slide.
His first CD, I was in Montreal during his gig promoting
it, he was in top form.
A classic…

Comedy 101 Radio 7.29.21

I thought it was a pretty good show this week.
My appreciation of good comedy knows no boundaries.
Playing Tom Lehrer seems like a privilege as well as a tribute.
As smart as they come, superb with a lyric, and a great
sense of humor.
When he passes I will weep, a very special man indeed.
We are at the midway point, Summer is looking good.
Went with a swimming block of sorts.
The late, great Logan Whitehurst with snappy tune.
A timeless piece by Nichols and May.
The Geezinslaws got me bopping.
Alimony block, and I’ve never been divorced.
Ivor Biggun with a very interesting performance.
Daniel Tosh showing the world why he’s a superb
stand-up comedian, a great bit in every way.
Onward and upward…

A Little More Gauze

Mike Nichols and Elaine May were THE comedy duo
back in the 1950’s and 60’s, top notch in every way.
So good in fact that material, with very few exceptions,
works very well in this day and age.
This is a great one, the back and forth between them
is something to behold.
Love can be annoying for sure, especially if you’re a
doctor…
