On the Amazon

I’m all about giving people their due.
Having said that, this piece is by the late,
great Czech singer, Pavel Bobek.
Long before the Iron Curtain came down
Pavel was the lead singer for a classic Czech
rock band called Olympic, early to mid 60’s.
This is a cover of a Don McLean song that
Pavel did on his Elpicka release.
I play this on the show from time to time, it
has a certain flair to it that the McLean
version does not have…

The Car Alarm

Radio Free Vestibule with a neat little
comedy sketch about those things that
howl in the middle of the night.
Not talking about getting home late and
having the wifey chew you out either.
This is vehicle theft prevention.
The deluxe version.
It’s not just the awful noise you need to
contend with, total annihilation and forced
labor on a asteroid based mining operation
will be the Lunch Special of the Day.
Don’t forget the code, just don’t…

Poetry and Scuba Diving

Emo Philips with a great comedy bit that
combines Robert Frost with Jacques Cousteau.
Kinda.
Emo is a deceptively intelligent comedian.
A lot of his material comes off as simple but
it is anything but that.
His references will have you tied up for hours.
He’s one of the better ones, for sure…

The Secret Life of a Hamster

Animated Song Biscuits with an expose of what those
shifty little rodents do when we’re not looking.
Rhett and Link are the bomb!
Nothing quite like these guys, they bring a fresh
approach to comedy that is/was sorely lacking.
I highly recommend most of their material, it’s as
good as anything out there.
Most of the time it’s better.
Keep an eye on ol’ Fuzzy Wuzzy, he ain’t what you think…
