A super group formed in the 1990’s with four of the
biggest names in country music.
Waylon Jennings, Mel Tillis, Bobby Bare and Jerry Reed
joined forces back in 1998 to do an album written by
Shel Silverstein, backed up by Jesse Colter, Bobby Bare jr.
and Shel Silverstein himself.
Some splendid songs on this recording, I play a few of
them on the show to great reviews.
And let’s face it, anything touched by Shel is a keeper.
It was the last great project he would be part of, he passed
away five months after its release.
Lots of talent here, more than usual, all in top form…
