Welcome, Sheriff…

One of the funniest scenes in all of comedy cinema history.
And one of the most poignant.
And silly.
Written by Mel Brooks and Richard Pryor, this 1974 cult
classic has all sorts of things going for it.
Cleavon Little as the sheriff was a wonderful fit, as were
damned near everybody else in this film.
I laugh every time I see this piece…

Advocate

A superb piece by top shelf stand-up comedian Kyle Kinane.
He has a style all his own…slightly frenetic, quite cerebral at
times, and always humorous.
And boy does this guy come in from an angle you never see.
He thinks about things no one else does.
One teensy-weensy (my Spell Check just threw up!) little swear
word that might make Grandpa’s head move ever so slightly to the
left, causing the suns rays to reflect mightily off of his bald pate
thereby causing a glare problem on the nearby highway.
If you don’t want to be responsible for a thirty car pileup
you may want to lock the old drooler in the bathroom while
this is playing…
